Who we are
As one of the biggest mental health trust’s in the country, with over 7,000 staff, we provide mental health and learning disability services for people across County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire, a population of over 2,000,000 people.
Every year we receive a variety of donations to our TEWV Charitable Fund from individuals, community groups, families, patients, sports clubs, schools and businesses.
This generosity helps raise vital funds to improve patient care and experience, by supporting the extra things that would not be possible from the funding we receive from central government alone – such as making our hospitals more comfortable and welcoming, supporting leisure and educational activities, providing special equipment, training and new facilities and much, much more.
It also helps staff access training to support their development and grants for ground-breaking research, which helps us to further enhance the care we provide.
Thanks to your kind support these vital funds help us make sure everyone we support and care for experiences the best possible outcome and the highest quality of care. It means we can support service users on their journey to recovery by providing the extra things that make a real difference to people’s lives.
There are many ways you can support us – find out more…
